Arsenal has made a 1-1 draw with Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium thanks to a late equalizer from Alexandre Lacazette in the last minutes of the game. The gunners had a pretty good match but just made a mistake to let Liverpool go in the lead, they would have won the game if James Milner hadn’t scored for the Reds.

Arsenal looked well composed in the first half and were following Unai Emery’s game plan of beginning their attacks from behind while including the goalkeeper. Liverpool however came close to taking the lead in the first half but their goal was disallowed because Firmino was offside.

The gunners also scored a disallowed goal in the first half and later had several chances which they missed as it seemed like it was not their day. The Reds almost got their first goal of the day in the last minutes of the first half after Bernd Leno came rushing to catch the ball but missed it and the Liverpool player headed it but it hit the poll. The second half started well for the gunners and they were in full control of the game but failed to break the defence of Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Liverpool finally scored after a quick counter saw them send in a cross which Bernd Leno punched out but unfortunately for him, it came towards James Milner who made no mistake but send the ball into the back of the net, giving the Reds the lead. The following minutes saw the gunners try to look for an equaliser but the defence of the visitors was tight. Unai Emery later brought in Alex Iwobi, Aaron Ramsey and Danny Welbeck replacing Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang and Kolasinac respectively ( these substitutions weren’t made at the same time)

Arsenal finally equalised through Alexandre Lacazette who scored past Allison in a tight angle to help the gunners collect at least one point from the game. Unai Emery has proved that his team is capable of having a good game against a top six team.
