There have been many reports linking Thomas Partey with a move to Arsenal and a new report claims that the Ghanaian international might have received an irresistible offer.
Thomas Partey has been a name that has been mentioned in transfer reports every week in the last few months as it is believed that Arsenal have made the Ghanaian international their main summer transfer target. New reports from Spain have confirmed that Arsenal have offered Partey an irresistible offer.
Thomas Partey has been impressive in the Spanish LA Liga and the UEFA Champions League and this has seen a lot of top European clubs get interested in the 27 year old since he is a player that would improve many teams as he is a versatile defensive midfielder that is tall, fast and great with the ball on his feet. Partey has a release clause of €50million hence giving many clubs the hope that they can lure him before he agrees to a new deal in the summer transfer window.
A report by Goal.com has today confirmed that Arsenal have offered Thomas Partey an irresistible offer that would triple his current wages which are believed to be £65,000 as per most reports. The same report also mentions that Partey’s representatives have requested for a commission if they are to sign the new contract that Atletico Madrid have offered and It’s claimed that this hasn’t been welcomed by the sporting director of the Madrid club as they are in a financial crisis.
Goal also says that Thomas Partey will now wait until the 2019/20 season is completed before he makes a decision on whether to sign a new deal with Atletico Madrid or go to Arsenal who are ready to triple his current wages and pay his release clause. It is widely believed that Mikel Arteta has told the club to make Partey its top priority because he is a player that would fit the new system that he wants to implement at the Emirates Stadium.
