Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is now in the last year of his current deal at the Emirates Stadium and him not being apart of Mikel Arteta’s plans show that the chances of him getting a renewal are very low. Arsenal wants Ozil to leave before his deal ends to save money since he is their highest paid player and it now looks like they might get their wish.

Mesut Ozil signed a new big money contract in 2018 to extend his stay at Arsenal after the gunners were put in a tough position that would see both their star players, the German international and Alexis Sanchez leave the club at the same time for free and the club then decided to choose to keep the World Cup winning midfielder by offering him a deal that would see him earn £350,000 a week wages but that has in hindsight turned out to have been a bad decision.

The gunners are currently in a financial dilemma and want Mesut Ozil to cut on their wage bill and their wish could come true as a report by Turkish outlet Fanatic claims that the 31 year old has received an irresistible offer from the biggest club in Saudi Arabia Al Nassr that would see him be earning $20million (£15m) in annual salary. The report mentions that Al Nassr club representatives have already made the offer to Ozil and that they will now have to wait for the decision that he makes as he would not only get a good offer but be the biggest star player in that country.

It is not known what decision Mesut Ozil will make but he did say in the past that he would not be leaving Arsenal until his contract at the club expires but among clubs that have been interested in him in last two years, none have ever made an offer as which he has reportedly received from Al Nassr.
