Signing a new attacking midfielder is one of the main objectives of Arsenal in this summer transfer window and the gunners are reported to have identified Barcelona star Phillipe Coutinho as the perfect player to bring to add more goals to their midfield.

Philippe Coutinho has struggled since leaving the Premier League to join Barcelona a few years ago and he has struggled in this 2019/120 campaign as he failed to impress for Bayern Munich after going there on a season long loan. It was believed that Coutinho would stay at Bayern Munich until their UEFA Champions League came to an end and they will tomorrow play but a new update seems to indicate that the Brazilian international might not be there due to being in London.

Sports journalist Layth has this evening revealed that a trusted source has told him that Philippe Coutinho and his representatives were today spotted at the London Colney probably to have discussions with the gunners over a possible summer move. This comes as a big surprise to everyone since it was yesterday claimed that Arsenal would not sign Coutinho due to being in advanced talks with Willian with most outlets saying that only one of them can be signed.

Coutinho being at Arsenal’s training ground obviously shows that the talks would be in an advanced stage but it is however still not known what the gunners will offer to Barcelona to get him since reports from Spain claim that the Catalan club might not want to send him on loan again and that they would prefer to receive cash. Coutinho is open to a move back to the Premier League as per his agent Kia Joorabchian and the gunners will be hopeful that Mikel Arteta will get him to recover the form that he had at Liverpool.
