Arsenal have completed the signing of Dani Ceballos on a season loan deal from Real Madrid, the club’s website has confirmed.
The 24-year-old Spanish midfielder rediscovered his form in the latter stages of the season and was crucial to Arsenal’s FA cup victory.
Mikel Arteta is a huge fan of Ceballos and was confident of his return to the Emirates stadium despite reports linking him with a move back to his former club Real Betis.
Arteta on Ceballos: “Dani was an integral part of our team last season and finished the season in excellent form. I love Dani’s passion and commitment and he’s a highly skilful player. We’re all delighted to welcome him back and we look forward to seeing him pick up where he left off.”
According to Marca the deal does not have an option to buy Ceballos permanently and Arsenal will pay his full wages.
Ceballos become’s Arsenal’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window and will continue to wear shirt number 8
