Arsenal right back Hector Bellerin has been linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium for some years now and Barcelona has been the club that has been mostly been linked with a move for the Spanish international. It’s now been reported that Barcelona will try to sign Bellerin and Arsenal have now also identified the perfect replacement for the 25 year old.

Arsenal have in the last few years tried to improve their defence but they have however not yet been able to get satisfactory results hence some fans starting to question whether favourites such as Hector Bellerin could be sold for better improvements. The Mirror is now reporting that Barcelona could try to intensify their pursuit of Hector Bellerin and that the gunners have also now identified Brighton & Hove Albion’s Tariq Lamptey as the perfect replacement if their Spanish right back does end up leaving the club.

Bellerin was linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain in the last summer transfer window but that move didn’t go through as Mikel Arteta values him a lot and this report also mentions that the Arsenal boss still likes him but that the club have made Tariq Lamptey their first choice target if they lose the 25 year old in the near future. Tariq Lamptey has been exceptional for Brighton this season as he has been deemed as one of the best right backs in the league due to his intensity in defence and attack and he is a type of player that would fit the profile of players that Mikel Arteta wants.

Brighton & Hove Albion have however begun trying to tie him down to a new contract due to a rise of suitors for him and even if they aren’t successful, the North Londoners will still not have a free toad to his signature as its claimed that Manchester City and Bayern Munich have also been following his progress.
