Arsenal will start the Premier League in a few days from now and the gunners will face Brentford at the Emirates Stadium and this will be an exciting game as the North Londoners will play a very talented newly promoted side. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta would have been happy to start the new season with all his players available for selection but the club has however received bad news about the availability of one of their star players.

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey was in the starting eleven that was to face Chelsea in a friendly game on Sunday and he however got injured in the first half hence getting replaced by Granit Xhaka but gooners remained hopeful that the injury wasn’t serious as there was even some excitement on social media when a gooner spotted him later after the game in some place walking with no support. It’s however looks like the celebrations of Arsenal fans on Thomas Partey’s health came a bit early as the gunners have received bad news ahead of their game against Brentford.

Arsenal have received bad news ahead of their game against Brentford after its been confirmed by CBS Sports journalist James Benge that Thomas Partey will not take part in the season opening game due to the injury that he sustained in the friendly game against Chelsea. This is a big blow for Arsenal as the gunners were not with him at the start of last season as well and were hoping that he would start off on a high this time, as they didn’t get their money’s worth performance from him.

It is however not completely bad news as the above journalist claims that the ankle injury he sustained is not as bad as it looked and that he will undergo further tests today.
