Report: Lacazette makes a decision on his future that might upset Arsenal
Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has made a decision on his future which will likely upset the hierarchy of the North London club.

Arsenal completed the signing of Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon for £52million in the 2017 summer transfer window with the hope that the Frenchman that would be the answer to their striking woes but things did not turn out as expected. Alexandre Lacazette’s current contract at Arsenal will expire next summer and its now reported that the Frenchman has made a decision on his future.
Alexandre Lacazette’s first year at the club didn’t turn out as expected as the fans were eager to see how they would perform with him in the squad as they had in the previous seasons been criticized for having an average striker in Olivier Giroud. Lacazette got injured halfway through his first season as a gunner and the drama of Alexis Sanchez led to the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who then took the spot light, and minutes from him.
Alexandre Lacazette did have a better season than Aubameyang last season but it’s however clear that the Gabon international is still valued higher than him as he usually starts on the bench since Mikel Arteta uses one striker in his formation. A report now from Football.London has now confirmed that Alexandre Lacazette has decided that he will not sign a new contract with the gunners and that he will now run his contract down which expires next year meaning that he will leave for free.
Arsenal will feel upset by this as they spent a lot of money on Lacazette and would have been hoped to sell him for a fee. Arsenal have in recent times been criticized by the supporters on the management of players which has seen them lose a lot of their assets leave for free of charge.
