Jorginho, the 31-year-old midfielder, is reportedly ready to snub Lazio and stay at Arsenal. According to The Standard, Jorginho is not keen on returning to Serie A and wants to make a success of his spell at Arsenal.

Jorginho made 14 appearances for Arsenal in the Premier League in his six months at the club. The Gunners signed him from Chelsea in the January transfer window, and he got one assist during his time with the club.

Arsenal were in a fierce title race with Manchester City in a bid to win the 2022/23 Premier League title. However, a defeat against Nottingham Forest in their 37th game week saw them lose the trophy to The Citizens. Arsenal ended the season with 84 points while Manchester City finished with 89 points. Manchester City are this year’s Premier League Champions. The Gunners will have to settle for second place even though they had led the league table for ten months this season.

Despite not winning the league title, Jorginho seems content with his time at Arsenal and is willing to stay put. He has been an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s midfield since joining from Chelsea and has impressed fans with his performances.

Jorginho’s decision to stay at Arsenal will come as a relief for Arteta, who is looking to build a strong squad ahead of next season. With Jorginho staying put, Arteta can focus on strengthening other areas of his team.

The Gunners have been linked with several players this summer as they look to bolster their squad ahead of next season. They are reportedly interested in signing West Ham midfielder Declan Rice and Leicester City midfielder James Maddison.

With Jorginho staying put, Arsenal can now focus on signing players who can help them challenge for major honours next season. The Gunners have not won a major trophy since winning the FA Cup in 2017, and Arteta will be keen to end that drought next season.

In conclusion, Jorginho’s decision to stay at Arsenal is a massive boost for the club. The midfielder has been impressive since joining from Chelsea, and his decision to stay put will give Arteta one less thing to worry about this summer. With Jorginho in their ranks, Arsenal can now focus on building a squad capable of challenging for major honours next season.
