Henry reveals what’s different about current Arsenal and whose responsible
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has opened up on what he feels is different about the current club and the one that he believes is responsible for this transformation.
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has recently spoken out about the positive changes he sees in the current Arsenal team and the impact of manager Mikel Arteta. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Henry expressed his newfound connection with the team and his admiration for Arteta’s work.
According to Henry, Arsenal is now in a much better place than it was five years ago. He stated via Daily Mail, “I actually see myself in the team now, as a fan I’m not talking as a player. I see a team fighting, making mistakes which can happen. Five years ago, I couldn’t relate to the team, I just couldn’t.”
The former striker revealed that he used to attend Arsenal games out of obligation as a fan rather than genuine excitement. However, he now feels a renewed sense of enthusiasm and respect for what Arteta has achieved at the club.
Henry’s comments come at a time when Arsenal is performing well in the Premier League. Currently sitting in second position on the table with 20 points in the 2023/24 campaign, they recently secured a 1-0 victory against Manchester City.
Looking ahead, Arsenal’s next challenge will be an away game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, 21st October after the international break.
Arteta’s influence on Arsenal cannot be understated. Since taking charge of the club in December 2019, he has implemented his tactical philosophy and instilled a strong sense of discipline within the squad. The team now displays resilience and determination on the pitch.
Under Arteta’s guidance, Arsenal has also made significant strides in terms of player development and recruitment. Young talents such as Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have flourished under his management.
Thierry Henry’s praise for Arteta reflects not only his personal connection to Arsenal but also highlights the positive changes that have taken place within the club. With their improved performances and promising young talents emerging, it seems that Arsenal is heading towards a brighter future under Arteta’s leadership.
