Arsenal’s young striker, Eddie Nketiah, has recently signed a new contract to extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium. In a recent interview with FourFourTwo, Nketiah revealed the real reason behind his decision to commit his future to the club.

“I signed a new deal at Arsenal as I love the club. London’s home, but I’ve been an Arsenal fan all my life and that played a big part,” said Nketiah. It is clear that his deep-rooted connection to the club played a significant role in his decision-making process.

Nketiah also mentioned that discussions with the manager and the plans he had for him were crucial factors in his choice. “Talking to the manager and the plans he had for me… I knew I wanted to learn, develop, help Arsenal,” he added. This highlights Nketiah’s desire to continue growing as a player and contribute to Arsenal’s success.

The 24-year-old striker has already made an impact this season, scoring two goals in eight Premier League appearances. His performances have helped Arsenal secure second place on the Premier League table with 20 points in this 2023/24 campaign.

In their most recent game against Manchester City, Arsenal emerged victorious with a 1-0 win. The team’s next challenge will be an away game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, 21st October after the international break.

Nketiah’s commitment to Arsenal reflects not only his love for the club but also his ambition to contribute positively on and off the pitch.
