Arsenal played against Leicester City on Monday and the gunners came into the match with the fear that they could have lost their momentum since club football was paused for two weeks because of the international break.

The Arsenal supporters were however surprised as they saw their team come from behind to take all the three points from Leicester City who did put on a good fight in the first half. Alex Iwobi was selected in the starting eleven that played Leicester City on Monday and he played the full 90 minutes, he had an incredible performance because he was even-handed the man of the match award.

Arsenal won the match 3-1 but the game was very difficult for them because they at first struggled in the first few minutes into the game, and later conceded an own goal after Hector Bellerin tried to stop a cross but ended up directing the ball into his own net. So the visitors now went into lead and the Arsenal team tried to stabilise their midfield as they looked for an equalizer, had a couple of chances but they failed to use them until Mesut Ozil finally scored the equalizer when the first half was about to end.

The gunners then scored two goals in the second half and Alex Iwobi has revealed what Unai Emery told them at halftime in the dressing room as reported by Arsenal Player.

“The fact we were able to get the equalising goal gave us the confidence and the manager basically said for us to just keep on going.” said the Nigerian international.

“We showed the fighting spirit to keep on going in the second half. We had the opportunity to score goals, not just the three we did, but we were able to get more as well – we looked very dangerous going forward.”

“We have to continue doing that with the big games we have got coming up as well.”

I am a very stubborn person who is always very argumentative in football discussions but I always win. I like writing about transfer news most.
