Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber has expressed a sense of unfinished business within the squad following their Premier League title loss to Manchester City. Despite narrowly missing out on the championship, Timber remains confident in the team’s ability and their burning desire to achieve success.

“It definitely feels like that,” Timber told The Standard when asked about the feeling of wanting to win a trophy. “You feel that this team is not finished yet. It’s a good feeling to have and it is a good place to be with these guys.”

While acknowledging the disappointment of losing the title, Timber emphasized the team’s collective hunger for success. “Obviously, you want to win prizes, you want to win something. So, that is the hunger that will always stay there and also after you win it,” he said.

Despite the title heartbreak, Timber believes Arsenal deserved to win this season. “I had a feeling we deserved this year to win it, to be fair. I think in a lot of aspects of the game, we were really good this season,” he explained.

“But, let’s be honest, City are also great. It is always hard, but I think we were close. Next season we are going to try again,” added Timber, demonstrating his unwavering confidence in the team’s future.

Timber’s comments reflect the shared determination and ambition within the Arsenal squad. Although they narrowly missed out on the ultimate prize, their hunger for success remains strong. The young defender’s perspective highlights the positive outlook within the team, indicating that Arsenal are poised to challenge for the Premier League title once again next season.
